HELLO:

Thank you for visiting our website. If you found us, then you are probably looking for a first-class massage experience. In this website, we will explain the services we provide so you will be able to determine if we are the right massage spa for you to visit.

We provide massages for women, for men, or for couples together.

THE IMPORTANCE OF AN EMOTIONAL CONNECTION:

The world’s greatest massage experience is not just about a great, muscle-relaxing massage – it is about making you feel great about yourself! It is about making you feel loved and appreciated. There will be a lot of massaging – including kneading, acupressure, physical touching, epidermal and dermal stimulation, to be sure, but none of these are memorable!

You want a wonderful massage experience with someone who will be kind, attentive, appreciative, understanding, and caring. You will not remember the muscles we relaxed; rather, you will remember how we made you feel as a person!

The emotional component is ten times more important than the physical component. We only hire massage therapists who have a natural love for all people! They were born and raised that way. They know how to make those around them feel good about themselves.

We have worked with many massage therapists over the years. One was an absolutely gorgeous 26-year old woman with the greatest hands in the world.  We all thought she would be perfect for the position, but it turned out she was terrible. She was cold and emotionless. She was like a mechanical doll – perhaps a real-life version of a rubber doll that comes in the mail. She went through all the physical motions, but she never connected emotionally with her clients. The result was that she never had a repeat client! The same is true of many massage therapists who use their school training on their clients’ bodies but don’t relate to them emotionally.

In real life, we all like to deal with people we like. We like to see the same hair stylist to fix our hair, the same nail professional to treat our nails. We like to take our car to the same car mechanic for repairs. In general, we don’t like to change those around us who do things for us. For this reason, we hope that you will become friends for life with us!

It is likely that you will not return to see us again just because we did a great job of relaxing your muscles. Rather, it is likely that you will return to see us again because you liked us and because we made you feel very special as a person! During our time together, we want to build a friendship that becomes a long-term relationship. We want to be the only spa you ever want to visit ever again!

Our time together will of course involve a great massage, but will really be about much more than that. It will also be about us giving you the attention you want, the time listening to you that you want, the appreciation that you want, and the sensuous touches that you want. We want to make you feel like a million dollars on multiple levels – muscles and tissues of course, but also as a wonderful, special person and as a friend!

WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT IN A GREAT MASSAGE SESSION?:

Have you ever given much thought as to why you want to visit a massage therapist for a massage? Many sports figures and athletes visit massage therapists to relax their muscles. So do firefighters and construction workers. So do people with specific types of injuries.

But why do you want to visit a massage therapist for a massage? Maybe you want to visit solely for treatment of muscles and tissues. But we think there is a lot more to your motivation. We think you want more than just muscle and tissue treatment.

To be specific, we think that you likely want to make an emotional connection with another human being. We think that you likely want to meet someone who will touch you and soothe you emotionally as well as physically.

In today’s fast-paced world, no one seems to get enough attention. Certainly no one seems to think they get enough attention. In modern society, we tend to be emotionally cold. Americans don’t even hug when greeting someone else – just a cold, impersonal handshake.

Everyone has work, school, housework, maybe kids. There is a lot of work everywhere and a lot of responsibility, but no one ever seems to give us a pat on the back for doing a good job, for getting everything done. No one gets an award for making dinner for the family, for keeping the house clean. It seems that everything we do is a thankless task.

We all feel a need to be appreciated for doing all the things we do, but there is no one there to give us that appreciation! We can’t even tell our friends about all the things we do – like grocery shopping, mowing the lawn, shampooing the carpets, cleaning the windows, washing the car, and the many thousands of things we do on a daily basis – all with no recognition, no appreciation. No one wants to hear those mundane details and no one wants to give us appreciation for doing all those things!

We all have husbands/wives/significant others. But they too are too busy doing their own tasks to stop and give us as much appreciation as we want to receive. And they want us to give them appreciation, which becomes yet another task for us!

Where can someone go to be appreciated without questioning, without needing to reciprocate? The best place in the world is to come visit us!! We will give you that appreciation that you want and that you need and which no one else will give you!!

Many people like to go to a nail salon to have their nails done. Often, this is not simply because the nail salon professionals can do a better job, but often because of the simple need to be around someone else and have that someone else do something nice for them. Many people likely go to a nail salon just to be spoiled, emotionally as well as physically!

Why do most people visit a massage spa? It is likely because they want to be spoiled, emotionally as well as physically. There are very, very few places where we can go to be spoiled in both ways. Restaurants spoil us physically by serving us great food without any effort on our part, but they don’t spoil us emotionally. How many places can we go to and be spoiled emotionally as well as physically? There are very few such places, and no place is as 100% as effective as a massage spa!

When choosing a massage spa, what factors should you consider? Here is perhaps a short list:

First, you want a massage spa where you will have a massage therapist who will be emotionally supportive. You can usually determine this by calling the spa and asking if the massage therapist is okay with you talking during the time of your massage. Talking is the number one way that people get to know each other and get to give each other emotional support. If you are going to lie down on your stomach the entire time, you cannot talk to your massage therapist. You might as well have a machine provide your massage.

Second, you want a massage spa where you will have a massage therapist who is a lot like you! If you are a 50 year old person, you won’t have much in common with a 22-year old woman or a 22-year old man. A 50 year old person has seen a lot of life – usually, kids, grand-kids, careers, mid-life crisis, etc. It is hard to relate to a 22-year old who has never had any of those issues. You want someone who shares a common history, a common background, a common basis of experiences. You want someone who went to the same kinds of schools as you did, had the same kinds of friends as you had. You want someone who looks a bit like you and who thinks a bit like you. No offense to our many Asian immigrant providers, but you probably won’t share a common basis with someone who does not speak English, has just arrived in the United States a few weeks ago, and who lives in one of the rooms of the spa!

Third, you want a massage spa where you will have a massage therapist who appreciates you for who you are. You want to be appreciated for your accomplishments in life. You want to be treated by someone who makes you feel special. You want someone who thinks you are wonderful for who you are and what you have done. This too is natural. You want 100% acceptance and unconditional acknowledgement.

Fourth, you want a massage spa where your massage therapist will pay 100% attention to you when you are together – no interruptions from cell phones, etc. This will become a private universe where no one else exists – just you and the massage therapist alone together. You don’t want your massage therapist to answer phones to set other appointments while you are together!! You want a private universe.

Fifth, you want a massage spa where your physical needs will be met. You want your muscles to be massaged. You want your back to be scratched! You want your skin to be soothed. But you want all this done the way that you want it to be done, not just the way the massage therapist wants it to be done!! If you have been to the huge chain massage spas, you already know that most professionals believe in an extremely firm deep-tissue massage. They often leave their clients sore for 2 to 3 days afterward! No matter how often you tell them to use a lighter pressure, they insist on using a firmer pressure because their company requires them to do so. They absolutely refuse to do as you ask. Not so with us. We believe in the Burger King Motto: you get it your way!

Sixth, you want a massage spa where you will find that magical spark of the intrigue of meeting a new friend. We all want it. We all know that a large part of the excitement is meeting someone new.

Seventh, whether you want to admit it or not, you want a massage spa where your need to be touched by another human being in a kind, attentive, appreciative, understanding, and caring way will be satisfied. Many of us are never touched by another else. Certainly many of us are not touched in a kind, attentive, appreciative, understanding, and caring way by anyone else. After 10 or 20 or 30 years of marriage, even our spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend or significant other tends to slack off on this area of our lives.

How important is it to be touched? Being touched is almost literally a matter of life and death. It is of extreme importance. Every human being has an innate need to be touched. For more details, please read below.

Ironically, no person can ever give himself/herself a massage as good as another person can give. No human being can ever tickle himself / herself. It just simply cannot be done by anyone, ever.

Eighth, you want a massage spa that is right for you! You might think location is important – that you want the massage spa closest to your house. But that is not a good way to pick a massage spa that is right for you. Sometimes it is best to travel to get the right massage spa!

How many massage spas give you a 100% complete description of how your massage will be done? Probably none except us. That is because massage spas just want you to show up and let them decide what they will or will not do. They want to stay in complete control. They don’t care what you want; they just want to give you whatever session they want to give you. We don’t think that is a fair business practice. Would you go to a hair salon and give the stylist 100% control with no input from you?

OUR SIMPLE PHILOSOPHY – FRIENDS FOR LIFE:

We have a simple corporate philosophy: treat every client like a best friend and meet often. We want you to love us like you love a best friend. We want you to come back and see us often.

Why is it important to have repeat clients? Repeat clients generate all the profit in just about every business. Not many businesses will succeed without repeat clients and referrals. Not large retailers like Target and Walmart. Not fast-food restaurants like McDonald’s or Burger King or KFC. Not gas stations like Exxon-Mobil or Chevron. Not pharmacies like Walgreen's or Rite-Aid or CVS. Every business relies on repeat clientele!!

The best way to garner repeat clientele is to provide the client with the service the client wants. For us, our clients do not truly know what they want!! We know what they want better than they know themselves!! We know what really drives a client to call us.

And we know that the massage portion of our session must be the highest quality service available. In the 1950’s, the words “Made in Japan” meant that it was cheaply made junk that would break after the first use. But W. Edwards Deming told the Japanese to change their paradigm, to make only the highest quality products that could be made. As a result, the words “Made in Japan” today mean the highest quality products that can be found! Deming is a big hero in Japan, and his photo hangs in many boardrooms in major Japanese companies.

There are a lot of spas in this area. What makes us unique? Our emotional connections to our clients! We become friends with our clients and our clients like us! When clients like us, they come back time and time again.

STANDARDIZED MASSAGE SERVICE:

Over the course of the last 40 years, we have carefully developed the world’s massage! We have standardized our massage! A 26-year old massage therapist in Los Angeles, California will give the same exact body rub that a 52-year old massage therapist in Coconut Creek, Florida will give.  It may be 0 degrees on a blustery Chicago, Illinois night, but our clients will get the same body rub sessions there that they might get on a vacation in sunny, 85-degree Miami, Florida!

Our sessions are timed to the minute! We like to have at least 2, but preferably 3 or 4, clocks in the room! We watch the clocks carefully so we know where we should be every minute. Have you ever watched a football or basketball game? The clock is a huge, huge factor in those sports. In football, the center must hike the football to the quarterback within 25 seconds; if he is just 1 second late, a penalty is assessed. In basketball, the team must make a shot at the basket within 24 seconds; if the team is just 1 second late, the ball is taken away and given to the opposing team. We are a bit like that: we watch the seconds go by so we know when to move from one part to the next part. But we are extremely flexible in our timing: if you want us to spend more time on one part but less time on another part, just say so!!!

CONTINUITY, PREDICTABILITY AND BALANCE:

These three elements transform a good body rub into a great body rub. Our technique incorporates continuity, predictability and balance.

Continuity means that from the time your massage therapist's hands first touch your body to formally commence your session until the time you adjourn, his/her hands never, never, never leave your body (except to get hot towel compresses and to clean his/her hands after touching your feet). Every second of every minute of that time, at least one of his/her hands will be touching your body. Never will he/she break contact completely. [The only exception to this will be when he/she completes the massage of your feet, then he/she will wash his/her hands so that he/she does not spread bacteria from your feet to the other areas of your body; he/she will tell you that he/she is going to go wash his/her hands and you will know that he/she will only be a few feet away.]

This continuity is very, very important. When a massage therapist breaks contact with your body, you feel disrupted. You don’t know where the massage therapist is going or how long he/she will be gone. In reality, the massage therapist is just going to get more oil or to move to the other side of the table, but in your imagination you don’t know where the massage therapist is going or what he/she will do next. Imagine eating a great meal at a fine restaurant. You don’t expect the waiter/waitress to just swing by and unexpectedly remove your plate after you’ve had just a few bites and then return it a few moments later! You would be shocked by that behavior. Not surprisingly, you would be just as shocked if your massage therapist took his/her hands off your body for a few moments during a massage/rub. Your body will not be pleased at unexpected interruptions!

Predictability is almost as important as continuity. When your massage therapist pays attention to your first arm/hand, your mind will subconsciously note the methodical sequence of events. Your massage therapist will then replay that same exact methodical sequence when he/she pays attention to your next arm/hand, then your first leg/foot, then your next leg/foot. Your mind will already know what is coming. When continuity and predictability combine, your body will relax faster and further than ever before. You will feel just like a baby in a car seat going for a gentle car ride. [Yes, you may indeed fall asleep.]

Balance is a natural corollary to predictability: each side of your body wants equal, balanced treatment as the other side. If your massage therapist spends 5 minutes giving attention to your left hand, your right wants to receive 5 minutes attention also. It would feel unbalanced to spend 55 minutes on the left side of your body but only 5 minutes on the right side of your body. Your body parts will be just as jealous as kids at Christmas: they want equality, balance.

You probably won’t notice these three techniques. They are subtle and they are not intended to be conspicuous. They stay in the background. But they magnify the relaxation powers ten-fold. They transform a good body rub into a great body rub.

HAVING THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT:

It is always good to have the right equipment when doing something. We have all the right equipment for our time together: massage table, towel warmer, hair dryer, massage oils, massage lotions, a lot of clean towels and sheets.

OUR THREE SESSIONS COMBINED ONE AFTER ANOTHER:

We provide three separate types of massage treatments, all in one session: therapeutic, dermal stimulation, and epidermal stimulation. During these three sessions, we add three techniques: continuity, predictability, and balance.

Our session is one of the most carefully crafted sessions available anywhere in America. It uses the most up-to-date scientific research available in our field. Our specialty massage is the only one that uses your body’s own rejuvenation abilities to help us relax your muscles! Let’s look at how we do that.

Scientists have finally realized what all of us knew all along: that the human body is a marvelous work of engineering genius. Embedded within every human body is an ability to rejuvenate itself during periods of sleep. No matter how sore a muscle might be, it can rejuvenate itself to about a 100% level with just 8 hours of sleep. And many muscles can rejuvenate themselves with far less time – 5 hours, 4 hours, even 3 hours of sleep.

Every massage therapist seeks to accomplish the feat in even less time. Sometimes a massage therapist will use extreme deep-tissue massage on an athlete’s sore arm  muscles in an attempt to achieve 100% rejuvenation in just 30 minutes. In essence, the massage therapist is “cramming-down” the time from 8 hours to 30 minutes.

We have an in-between solution. We could have you just sleep on our table for 8 hours, and that would likely achieve 100% rejuvenation of your sore muscles. We could have 4 or 5 massage therapists provide extreme deep-tissue massage on your sore muscles for 30 minutes, and that would likely achieve 100% rejuvenation of your sore muscles. But instead, we prefer to blend these two extremes and just meet in the middle. We do this by combining 3 separate massage techniques over a 2-hour period of time. We use your body’s natural processes to help us instead of us doing 100% of the job. Your body combined with our specialty session gets the job done in just 2 hours.

Here is a complete description of our 3-part massage therapy:

SESSION 1: THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

The first massage treatment is a therapeutic massage. If you have ever been to a massage spa before, you will know what this is. We use all the same, standard techniques that every massage spa in America uses: kneading, rolling, percussion, etc.

At each step, your massage therapist will ask you about the level of pressure that you desire. If you have no preference, your massage therapist will use a minimal level of pressure, often called a soft-tissue massage.

Unless directed by you to use a firmer level of  pressure, our massage therapist will use a light tissue massage. Why do we use light tissue instead of deep tissue?

First, we do so because human bodies prefer light tissue over deep tissue. You are probably an older (35 to 75) person who does not have sore muscles that need to be relaxed. You probably have the same exact stress on your body that just about everyone has – stress from being at a desk in front of a computer all day. You are probably not a blue-collar worker like a carpenter or roofer. You probably are not a sports athlete. A deep-tissue massage leaves most human bodies sore for one or two days, sometimes even three days. Who wants that? Our clients hate to be sore from a massage!

Second, a deep-tissue massage provides little to no actual sensuous pleasure – that is, a deep-tissue body rub does not please the sense of touch. You likely crave human touch. You likely prefer soft, sensuous touches over firm kneading.

We have found that our clients prefer soft, loving, gentle touches. And often clients tell us that massage oil and/or massage lotion takes away the intimate feeling of skin on skin touches, so they ask us to use very, very little oil or lotion.)

Third, a deep-tissue body rub is hard on a massage therapist’s hands, and causes them to be more concerned with their own pain than with your comfort. Many such therapists develop carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, and other work-related injuries over time. Our session is easy on our therapists’ hands! We go from light tissue to an even lighter scratching session to a super light fingertip session. Your massage therapist will be just about as relaxed during your time together as you, so your massage therapist is able to focus attention solely on you.

Because we use a light touch for the light-tissue near-therapeutic body rub, we  usually find we do not need any oil or lotion at all. Certainly we can never use any on your neck/head/face. Likely, you do not have any sore muscles in your arms, and thus we probably will not need to use any oil or lotion on your arms/hands/fingers. This is true of your legs/feet/toes as well. That means that the only place where we will be tempted to use any lotion is on your back. Instead of feeling oil or lotion, you can feel the softness of your massage therapist’s skin.

Where will your massage therapist your massage? Your massage therapist will start with you facing straight up at the ceiling, not facing down into the table! This is the complete opposite of standard massage therapy sessions available at about 99.99% of the traditional massage spas. Why do we start with you facing straight up at the ceiling instead of facing down into the table? There are three reasons for this:

First, you cannot talk to your massage therapist when you are facing down into the table, but you can when you are facing straight up at the ceiling. To us, talking is important. Not just to tell your massage therapist what levels of pressure you desire, but to communicate as human beings. To just talk to each other like normal people. Do you want to face down into the table and never talk to your massage therapist at all? That is the opposite of our approach.

Second, we want to relax 100% of your body. We do not want to focus on relaxing only one part of your body while ignoring the rest. Most spas think it is important to relax your back muscles, while ignoring the rest of your body completely. We have found that if we relax the other 90% of your body, then your body will help us relax that last 10% very easily and quickly.

Third, almost no human being is ever comfortable facing down into a massage table. How many human beings sleep face down? Less than 5% of the population sleeps face down. The main bulk of 95% sleeps on one of two positions: back or side. Those are the two positions that we humans love: back and side. So why do massage therapists feel it is appropriate to force us to spend almost the entire time on the table facing down? It is a crazy misunderstanding!

We have a standardized system. That system is pretty much followed by all our  massage therapists, with minor individual variations and nuances, and with adjustments as you may wish.

The description below is based on a 2-hour session with 60 minutes devoted to Session 1, 30 minutes to Session 2, and 30 minutes to Session 3. For a 1-hour session, these times will be reduced to one half these lengths.

We categorize the human body into six parts as follows: 1. neck/head/face; 2. right arm/hand/fingers; 3. left arm/hand/fingers; 4. right leg/foot/toes; 5. left leg/foot/toes; 6. back and buttocks. Your massage therapist will massage these six parts in that exact order. As each part is completed, your massage therapist "summarizes" that part. For a proper 60-minute session, each part receives 10 minutes of attention (9 minutes of massage attention followed by a 1-minute summary).

We divide the neck/head/face part into distinct subparts: lower neck muscles, upper neck muscles, scalp, temples, forehead, bridge connection, jaw muscles, chin muscles, lip muscles. Your massage therapist will start a session with you lying on the table with your face toward the ceiling. Your massage therapist will stand at the head of the table and start by relaxing your shoulders and upper back muscles (2 minutes). Then your massage therapist will do a “scalp body rub” using two different techniques.

First, your massage therapist will use the heels of his/her open palms to rock your scalp back and forth slowly, while allowing his/her fingers to slide up and down over your ears. Your massage therapist will do this for a reason: it is a foreshadowing that he/she will be touching areas of your body that no one has ever touched before. We want your subconscious mind to get used to your massage therapist.

Second, your massage therapist will use firm fingertips to firmly caress your scalp. Your massage therapist will ask which of the two methods you prefer, and then use that method (finish out to 2 minutes). Then your massage therapist will move on to the forehead, using the same type of open palm body rub to rock your forehead back and forth slowly. From there, your massage therapist will move on to your temples, starting with the heels of his/her hands and then switching to his/her thumbs.

Now the face massage starts in earnest. Your massage therapist will move on to your jaw muscles – which are the strongest human muscle in the body as measured by weight. Then the chin and lip muscles. Your massage therapist will then use two index fingertips to relax the pressure points at the bridge of your nose and the base of each of your ears. Your massage therapist will gently rub your ears! (5 minutes for a full face massage.)

Your massage therapist will conclude that first division with a 1-minute summary! Your massage therapist will repeat briefly all the steps in the same sequence as originally executed. Now, 10 minutes have elapsed and the first part (neck/head/face) is finished.

Then it is time to begin the second division – your left arm/hand/fingers. When moving from one division to another our massage therapist will make sure to keep at least one hand, and preferably two hands, on your body at all times. Your massage therapist will either glide them over your body from one division to the next, or will lift them one at a time, letting the first one land before lifting the second one. This is called CONTINUITY.

We categorize the arm/hand/fingers section into two upper arm muscle groups (mostly the biceps and triceps), the forearm muscle groups, and the various hand and finger muscle groups. Your massage therapist will start with your shoulders, stretch out your arms, and work downward toward your hands – upper arm muscles (2 minute), followed by your lower arm muscles (2 minute). Your massage therapist will not touch your elbows during this Therapeutic Massage Session, as elbows should properly be massaged by a physical therapist and not a massage therapist. Then your massage therapist will go to your hand massage.

To start with the hand massage, your massage therapist will stretch out your hand from the back side of the hand and then again from the palm side of the hand. Your massage therapist will treat your hand like pizza dough! After your massage therapist has stretched out the hand from both sides, he/she will go to the fingers. Your massage therapist will start with the thumb (stretch and twist 3 times), then the index finger (stretch and twist 3 times), then the middle finger (stretch and twist 3 times), then the ring finger (stretch and twist 3 times), then the pinky finger (stretch and twist 3 times). Your massage therapist will always hold your hand in one of his/her hands, and use his/her other hand to execute the finger massages. Having your hand held while being worked on feels so nice.

Next we have a very special treat for your hand – an interlocking-finger, open-palm massage. Your massage therapist will literally use all 10 of his/her digits to intertwine your 5 digits, and use his/her thumbs to massage the pads of your thumb and four fingers and then your palm.

To execute the interlocking finger treatment, your massage therapist will keep  his/her  two thumbs free for use in the treatment, place his/her two index fingers on the outside of your digits (one outside your thumb, the other outside your pinky finger). It will look like this. On his/her right hand (since your massage therapist will start on your left hand, with your left hand palm up and his/her two palms up), his/her right thumb will be free, his/her right index finger will be on the outside of your thumb, his/her right middle finger and ring finger will fill the inter-space between your thumb and your index finger, his/her right pinky finger will fill the inter-space between your index finger and your middle finger, his/her left pinky finger will fill the inter-space between your middle finger and your ring finger, his/her left ring and middle finger will fill the inter-space between your ring ringer and your pinky finger, and his/her left index finger will be outside your pinky finger.

You probably do not know just how pleasurable the sensation of having the areas of the skin on the sides of your fingers actually is until you experience that pleasure for the first time! Probably no one ever touches that area of your body – not even your significant other. The only time in our lives when another human touches us there is when we are holding hands with fingers intertwined – a rare event - and one associated with great romantic pleasure.

Your massage therapist will now use his/her two thumbs to treat the pads of your palm and then your entire palm.

Your massage therapist will finish the hand massage by using one of his/her index fingers to rub the ligaments of the hand (upward). Your massage therapist has now spent a total of 5 minutes on your left hand and fingers. Your massage therapist will do a 1-minute summary. Your massage therapist will review briefly the shoulder, upper arm, lower arm, hand and finger treatments that he/she has been through. Now the second part – left arm/hand/fingers – is finished (this took 10 minutes). So far, since the starting time, 20 minutes have elapsed total time.

Then your massage therapist will repeat the same process for the other arm/hand/fingers division. When switching from the second division (left arm/hand/fingers) to the third division (right arm/hand/fingers), your massage therapist will be sure to keep at least one hand, and preferably two hands, on your body at all times. Your massage therapist will either glide them over your body from one division to the next, or will lift them one at a time, letting the first one land before lifting the second one. (CONTINUITY)

The third division will be a mirror image of the second division. And your massage therapist will follow the exact same process that he/she followed for the first! PREDICTABILITY AND BALANCE. You will know exactly what to expect at every stage!

Now the third part – right arm/hand/fingers – is finished (this took 10 minutes). So far, since the starting time, 30 minutes have elapsed total time.

When your massage therapist moves on to the fourth division – your left leg/foot/toes (maintaining CONTINUITY) – you can almost predict what to expect: a sequence very similar to the second and third divisions (PREDICTABILITY) and with identical timing (BALANCE). In other words, your massage therapist will do your left legs/feet/toes in a manner very similar to the way he/she did your left arms/hands/fingers and your right arms/hands/fingers.

We divide the leg/foot/toes part into two upper leg muscle groups (those in the front of the leg, those in the back of the leg), the lower leg muscles, and the various foot and toe muscle groups. Your massage therapist will start by stretching out your leg, and work downward toward your foot – upper leg muscles (2 minutes), followed by your lower leg muscles (2 minutes). Your massage therapist will not touch your knees during this Therapeutic Massage Session, as knees should properly be massaged by a physical therapist and not a massage therapist.

Then he/she will go to the foot massage (which will take 5 minutes if you have opted for the hot towel compress treatment, or 15 minutes if you have opted for the hot towel compress treatment).

Your massage therapist will want to do each foot in a manner similar to the way he/she did each hand (PREDICTABILITY) and using equal amounts of time (BALANCE). For your hands, your massage therapist had one special treat – the interlocking-finger, open-palm massage. For your feet, he/she has three very special treats – 1. the six twisted pretzel steps; 2. a treatment of the four inter-spaces of the toes (he/she cannot interlock his/her 10 digits, so he/she will use only one of his/her index fingers, one inter-space at a time); 3.  hot towel compresses before and after (an option).

Let’s stop for a moment and describe the hot towel compress of each foot. This is a special treat above and beyond the sensuous touching of the toes’ inter-spaces. If you elect this option, your massage therapist will use a hot towel compress to clean each foot before beginning your foot session. Your massage therapist may tell you something like this: “I am going to apply a hot towel compress to your foot to relax the muscles of your foot.” This has another benefit: your feet will be clean!

To do the hot towel compress before starting the foot massage, your massage therapist will wrap the hot, wet towel around your entire foot, then gently twist the hands in an opposing way to clean the foot, then clean between the toes. The thickness of the towel holds the heat for longer, to help relax the muscles of your foot.

Now your massage therapist will start the treatment of your left foot. To start your left foot massage, your massage therapist will stretch out your left foot from the top side of your foot. Then he/she will do the same but from the bottom side of your foot. Your massage therapist will treat your foot like pizza dough, just like he/she did your hands!

After your massage therapist stretches out your foot from both sides, he/she will go to your toes. He/she will start with your big toe (stretch and twist 3 times), then your “index toe” (stretch and twist 3 times), then your “middle toe” (stretch and twist 3 times), then your “ring toe” (stretch and twist 3 times), then your “pinky toe” (stretch and twist 3 times). He/she will always hold your foot in one of his/her hands, and use his/her other hand to execute the toe treatments. Having your foot held while being worked on feels so nice.

Here is how your massage therapist will do the second very special treat for your foot – the six twisted pretzels.

Your massage therapist will use 6 separate techniques to treat each foot. We call these the six twisted pretzels. Your massage therapist will announce each of the six separate techniques to you as he/she does them and ask you which of the six is the most enjoyable. Then he/she will use that technique to finish out the time of 5 minutes.

He/she will say, “Here is the first way. I am placing my two thumbs on the same side of your foot with one thumb on your upper arch and one thumb on your lower arch and twisting back and forth, keeping firm pressure on each hand.”

He/she will do that for a few seconds, and then will say, “Here is the second way. I am placing my two thumbs on the same side of your foot with one thumb on your upper arch and one thumb on your lower arch and twisting back and forth, without pressure, letting each hand slide across your foot.”

He/she will do that for a few seconds, and then will say, “Here is the third way. I am placing my two thumbs on opposing sides of your foot with one thumb on your upper arch pointed one way and with the other thumb on your lower arch pointed the other way, and twisting back and forth, keeping firm pressure on each hand.”

He/she will do that for a few seconds, and then will say: “Here is the fourth way. I am placing my two thumbs on opposing sides of your foot with one thumb on your upper arch pointed one way and with the other thumb on your lower arch pointed the other way, without pressure, letting each hand slide across your foot.”

He/she will do that for a few seconds, and then will say, “Here is the fifth way. I am going to use my knuckles to stimulate your upper arch and move slowly to your lower arch.”

He/she will do that for a few seconds, and then will say, “Here is the sixth way. I am going to use the heel of my hand to stimulate your upper arch and move slowly to your lower arch.”

Then he/she will ask, “Which of those six methods do you like the best: Number 1, with thumbs on the same side, with firm pressure twisting back and forth; Number 2, with thumbs on the same side, with no pressure, gliding back and forth; Number 3, with thumbs on opposing sides, with firm pressure twisting back and forth; Number 4, with thumbs on opposing sides, with no pressure, gliding back and forth; Number 5, with knuckles; or, Number 6, with the heels of my palms.”

There is no right or wrong answer: your massage therapist will just go with what you like best!

After your massage therapist uses the six twisted pretzel techniques, he/she will rub the inter-spaces between your toes. He/she use just one index finger for this. The sensation of having the areas of skin on the sides of your toes touched is an exquisite pleasure few will ever forget! Yes, he/she will use one of his/her index fingers to lovingly caress the inter-spaces of your toes one by one (not multiple interlocking like the fingers because there just isn’t enough room!).

Your massage therapist will start with the inter-space between your big toe and your “index toe” with his/her index finger approaching from the bottom side of your foot; he/she will roll his/her index finger back and forth in the inter-space, then push down on the top of the inter-space and glide toward your ankle. He/she will repeat for the other 3 inter-spaces in proper order. You probably do not know just how pleasurable the sensation of having the areas of skin on the sides of your toes actually is until you experience that pleasure for the first time! Probably no one has ever touched that area of your body – not even your significant other – ever!

After all this, it will be time for the 1-minute summary. Your massage therapist will repeat in 1 minutes what he/she just went through during the last 9 minutes.

If you elected to have the hot towel compress treatment, then your massage therapist will once again use a hot towel compress on your foot. The purpose this time is to clean the lotion off that foot and to further relax that foot.  Your massage therapist will do another cool thing: as he/she removes the hot wet towel by pulling it off, he/she will replace it inch by inch with a hot dry towel. Even better, your massage therapist will use a hair dryer to heat the dry towel as it replaces the wet towel, then again as the dry towel is removed!! Even better, your massage therapist will then wave the hair dryer over your entire body!!

Have you ever had a hot towel compress applied to your feet in your whole life? It is an exquisite pleasure. The hair dryer treatment:  a very special treat. If your goal was to be spoiled, this will achieve your goal!

Now the fourth part – left leg/foot/toes – is finished. This took 10 minutes (20 minutes if you elected for the hot towel compress treatment). So far, since the starting time, 40 minutes have elapsed total time (50 minutes if you elected for the hot towel compress treatment).

[Note on possible alteration: Sometimes your massage therapist will do the upper and lower leg muscles of both legs so that he/she can do both feet one right after the other. This is often a strategy used when you have opted to have the hot towel compress applied to your feet.]

Your massage therapist has now finished the fourth part – your left leg/foot/toes, and now is ready to move onto the fifth part – your right leg/foot/toes. Of course, he/she will maintain CONTINUITY. And you should be able to precisely predict what to expect: an exact mirror image of what was done to the fourth part – your left leg/foot/toes (PREDICTABILITY). Both legs/feet/toes will be treated equally (BALANCE). As with the fourth part, this will take either 5 minutes or 15 minutes (depending on whether you have elected to have the optional hot towel compress treatment).

Now the fifth part – right leg/foot/toes – is finished. This took 10 minutes (20 minutes if you elected for the hot towel compress treatment). So far, since the starting time, 50 minutes have elapsed total time (70 minutes if you elected for the hot towel compress treatment on both feet).

And now your massage therapist will move on to the sixth and final division (maintaining CONTINUITY) – your back and your buttocks. Your back consists of your shoulders and upper back, your middle back, your lower back, the back sides of your legs and your buttocks.

Your massage therapist will spend 2 minutes on your shoulders and upper back, 2 minutes on your middle back, 2 minutes on your lower back, 2 minute on your legs, 2 minutes on your butt, and a 1-minute summary.) Your massage therapist will not touch your spinal column – that area should be treated only by a qualified chiropractor.

To us, the most important part of the back side of your body is not your actual back! About 99.99% of all massage therapists in the United States want to focus all their attention on your back. There is a good reason for this. To massage your back, they ask you to remain face down. In that position, you cannot talk to them. You cannot develop a relationship. It is a cold, emotionless position in which they do not have any meaningful human interaction. They could be a simple machine massaging your back.

We take the opposite approach. We want to have a meaningful human interaction with you. We want to get to know you and we want you to get to know us. We want you to become friends with your massage therapist. We want you to visit often! We will not treat you like a number or a wallet!! We will treat you like a real human being, like a wonderful friend.

In real life, your back probably does not have sore muscles. You are probably not a roofer or a construction worker or a fireman. Your back muscles have no more soreness than the back of anyone who sits at a desk 8 to 10 hours a day.

In real life, it is your butt muscles that are the most in need of attention. Why? Because the butt is where the most powerful muscles of the body – the upper leg muscles – connect to the main pelvic bone. Those muscles carry the weight of your entire body. That area is always knotted and needs attention.  Your massage therapist will rub both sides at the same time, using both of his/her hands. He/she will use three different techniques: thumbs only; knuckles; heels of palms. He/She will ask which technique you like the most, then will use that technique.

And then the rest of the muscle groups of the butt need attention. And every human being on the face of the planet loves a great butt massage!!

Not counting the separate identities of each finger and each toe, there are some 20 separate areas to address, plus the 6 summaries. Add the fingers and toes and there are really 40 separate areas. True professionals hate to conduct a session in less than a full hour because each area barely receives enough attention.

SUMMARY FOR 60 MINUTES ON SESSION 1 (FOR 1.5-HOUR AND 2-HOUR AND 3-HOUR SESSIONS):

This is how the timing goes for Session 1 (Therapeutic Massage Session):

Every part of your body wants different levels of pressure, so your massage therapist must ask you questions! That requires an exchange of information. If you really want the restaurant to prepare your meal the exact way you want it prepared, you will need to exchange that information with the server. The server cannot guess what you want and does not have any special ESP powers. It is the same between you and your massage therapist: an exchange of information is the best way to get the body rub pressures you want.

SESSION 2: THE DERMAL SESSION (SCRATCHING):

After that near-therapeutic, muscle-relaxing body rub, let's move on to the dermal stimulation body rub. This session is designed to stimulate the middle layer of skin. That is much easier to do than it might sound! And in fact you have done it to yourself every day of your life, and your significant other has probably done that for you a few times as well. It is as simple as a scratch. But try to convince anyone to scratch your body all over – 100% – for a full 30 minutes and you'll find it an unlikely scenario.

But that is exactly what we will do. In this 2nd type of massage, we go back over all 6 divisions, all 20 sub-parts, all 40 sub-sub-parts, once again – with a gentle scratching technique. A scratching session of the whole body is one of life’s grandest pleasures.

Here is a description of our Scratching Session.

You should already be lying on the table face down, back up. This is because the Therapeutic Massage Session started with you on your back for the first 50 minutes (or for 70 minutes if you elected the hot towel compress on your feet option), then flipped you face down for the last 10 minutes. So our Scratching Session will start with you face down, back up. This is the position we do not like to have you in as it is uncomfortable for you and you cannot talk to us from this position.

This Scratching Session lasts 30 minutes for our standard 2 hour massage. We will devote 15 minutes to your back side then 15 minutes to your front side.

Remember, this is a gentle scratch – no marks!! Your massage therapist will start with very light pressure; if you want more pressure on certain areas, just ask for more pressure (i.e., just say “scratch harder, please!”). Your massage therapies will not leave any physical marks – just emotional marks!

Your massage therapist will start Session 2 by scratching your scalp. All of us humans are just like cats and dogs in this respect: the love of having our heads scratched! After that, your massage therapist will move on to a great back scratch. Your massage therapist will use two techniques to scratch your back: the Straight Line Technique and the Mow-the-Lawn Technique. Your massage therapist will let you tell him/her which Technique you prefer. And your massage therapist will use four different sets of scratches: ten fingernails, five fingernails, two fingernails (two index fingernails), and one fingernail (one index fingernail), and will ask which you prefer.

Your massage therapist will start with the Straight Line Technique. To begin, he/she will softly place all ten of his/her fingernails on that point of your neck where your hairline ends. He/she will slowly bring all ten of his/her fingernails straight down the center of your back – over your spinal column, which he/she did not touch during the Therapeutic Massage Session – all the way to the bottom of your back and top of your butt. Then he/she will lift his/her right hand up and move it back to your neck, but about two inches over toward the right side of your body. Then he/she will lift his/her left hand up and move it back to your neck, but about two inches over toward the left side of your body. He/she does not lift both hands off at the same time because he/she does not want to break the CONTINUITY!!

Your massage therapist will once again slowly bring all ten of his/her fingernails straight down your back – but now he/she is about two inches away from each side of your spinal column – all the way to the bottom of your back, top of your butt.

Your massage therapist will once again slowly bring all ten of his/her fingernails straight down your back – but now he/she is about four inches away from each side of your spinal column – all the way to the bottom of your back, top of your butt. Then he/she will lift his/her right hand up and move it back to your neck, but about four inches over toward the right side of your body. Then he/she will lift his/her left hand up and move it back to your neck, but about two inches over toward the left side of your body. He/she does not lift both hands off at the same time because he/she does not want to break the continuity!!

Your massage therapist will follow this process until he/she has scratched as far to your sides as possible – down to the table!! That is just one trip down the back. Now he/she will use a second technique to scratch your back, and then ask you which technique you like better.

The second technique, the Mow-The-Lawn Technique, is very similar to the first technique, the Straight Line Technique, but it eliminates the problem of breaking continuity. In this technique, your massage therapist’s ten fingernails remain on your back the entire time.

Your massage therapist will softly place all ten of his/her fingernails on that point of your neck where your hairline ends. He/she will slowly bring all ten of his/her fingernails straight down the center of your back – over your spinal column, which he/she did not touch during your Therapeutic Massage Session – all the way to the bottom of your back, top of your butt. Then he/she will move his/her ten fingernails outward – five to the right and five to the left, of course – as far out as they can go, which probably is the point where your sides meet the table! Then he/she will bring all ten of his/her fingernails straight upwards until he/she reaches your shoulder. Then he/she will move all his/her ten fingernails inward toward the center of your neck, until he/she reaches a point about two inches from your spinal column. This process is just like mowing the lawn!!

Now your massage therapist will once again slowly bring all ten of his/her fingernails straight down your back – but now he/she is about 2 inches away from each side of your spinal column – all the way to the bottom of your back, top of your butt. From there, he/she will continue to “mow your back” until your back has been completely mowed. Who knew mowing the lawn could be such a thrill?

Now your massage therapist has made one pass using Technique 1 (Straight Line) and one pass using Technique 2 (Mow-The-Lawn). He/she will ask you which one you liked better. Then he/she will repeat that process several more times. He/she  will change sets – first using 10 fingernails, then using 5 fingernails from 1 hand, then using 2 index fingernails, then using just 1 index fingernail.

After that, he/she will expand the range of his/her scratching – this time going all the way from the top of your neck to the ends of your toes! He/she will use whichever technique you liked for just the back. Then he/she will repeat that process several more times. And with 10, 5, 2, then 1 fingernails.

Then he/she will reduce the range of his/her scratching – this time going from the top of your butt to the ends of your toes. Then he/she will further reduce the range of her scratching – this time going from the back of your knees to the ends of your toes. Then he/she will further reduce the range of his/her scratching – this time going just from your heel to the ends of your toes.  And he/she will go through the 10-5-2-1 system.

Then your massage therapist will do the back sides of your arms – going from your shoulders to your fingertips using 10 fingernails, then 5 fingernails, then 2 fingernails, then 1 fingernail. And he/she will keep reducing the range of his/her scratching – back of elbows to fingertips, then wrists to fingertips.  And with each he/she may go through the 10-5-2-1 system.

After that, it will be time to flip onto your back so he/she can repeat this for the front side of your body!! He/she is going to do something to you that no one has ever done before – he/she is going to scratch every cell of your face – except your eyelids!! We would say “every square inch of your face” but your face is not square, it is round. Again, this is a light, gentle scratch – no marks! You have no idea how wonderful it feels to have your face scratched – but now you will know it is something you will want to have on a regular basis! Even your ears will receive tender loving attention!

Then your massage therapist will scratch your front side in the same manner as he/she scratched your back side – starting with Technique 1 (Straight Line Technique) from neck to waist once, then with Technique 2 (Mow-The-Lawn Technique) from neck to waist once, then two or three times using your preferred technique, then two or three times using your preferred technique from neck to feet. And he/she will vary from 10 fingernails to 5 fingernails to 2 fingernails to 1 fingernail. Then, as with the back side, he/she will reduce the range – waist to the ends of your toes, then knees to the ends of your toes, then ankles to the ends of your toes. And he/she will use the 10-5-2-1 system for each reduction.

Then your massage therapist will do your arms. Needless to say, he/she will follow pretty much the same pattern for your arms – starting at your neck and coming down to your fingertips. However, he/she will now add a new twist: after the first pass at mowing the arms/hands, he/she will switch over from using ten fingernails to using just five fingernails, then two fingernails (two index fingernails), then one fingernail (the index fingernail of one of his/her hands) – from the neck all the way down to the end of your thumb. Then he/she will ask whether you prefer the feeling of all ten fingernails, five fingernails, two fingernails, or just one  fingernail. Once you tell your massage therapist whether your prefer ten, five, two or one, he/she will repeat the process a few times on each of your arms/hands. And he/she will reduce the range – elbow to fingertips, wrists to fingertips. And he/she will use the 10-5-2-1 system for each reduction.

And from here, it will be time to start Session Three.

SESSION 3: THE EPIDERMAL SESSION (FINGERTIP TOUCHING):

Now the Second Session, the Scratching Session, has ended. It is time to begin the Third Session – the Fingertip Session. The Third Session, the Fingertip Session, is designed to soothe and calm the outer layer of the skin (the epidermis). During this session, your massage therapist will use just his/her soft fingertips using very, very light touches. It feels as gentle as the sensation of a single feather gently moving across your skin. You will hardly know if you are being touched or not. It feels heavenly. For many parts of your body, this will feel like tickling! For those areas, your massage therapist will either apply more pressure to eliminate that tickling sensation or will skip over those areas!

This Fingertip Touching Session lasts 30 minutes for our standard 2 hour massage. We will devote 15 minutes to your front side then 15 minutes to your back side.

You should already be lying on the table face up. The Second Session, the Scratching Session, ended with a scratching of your feet. We will begin the Third Session, the Fingertip Session, with your face! So your massage therapist will need to wash his/her hands at this point.

You came for a massage, a physical touching to relax your muscles and provide pleasure to your skin. Yet in reality a mere physical touching is not quite enough if it is not done in a caring, loving manner. A robot can touch you, but you will never feel emotionally satisfied. Only a human can touch you in a caring, loving manner that satisfies you emotionally. And only someone who is genuinely interested in you can satisfy you emotionally as well as physically.

Has anyone ever lovingly caressed your face? If so, you know that a gentle touching of the face says “I Love You” more effectively than words can ever communicate! No part of the body – NO PART – says “I Love You” as much as the face.

During the course of a day, many people look at our face. But almost no one ever touches our face! It may be nice to have people look at our faces, but it is not very emotionally satisfying. You can’t feel love just because someone looks at your  face. It takes more than a look. It takes a touch. If you want to know how love feels, it’s in the touching of your face. Your massage therapist is going to touch your face in a way that effectively says “I Love You” and makes you feel emotionally satisfied!! If you want to know how love feels, it’s in the touching of your face.

After a loving caress of your face, first with all ten fingertips, then with just five fingertips, then with just two index fingertips, then with just one index fingertip, it will be time to move on to the rest of your body. Your massage therapist will start at your neck and then move on to your waist. He/She will use the same kind of techniques that he/she used for the scratching – ten fingertips in straight lines (Technique 1) and then ten fingertips in a lawn-mowing fashion (Technique 2). Once you tell him/her your preference, he/she will repeat that process two or three times.

After that, your massage therapist will expand the range of his/her gentle touching – this time going all the way from your neck to the ends of your toes!! He/she will use whichever technique you liked for just the neck area. Then he/she will repeat that process two or three more times. Then he/she will switch sets. He/she will repeat the neck-to-toes process using five fingertips from one hand, then again using two index fingertips, then again using one index fingertip. He/she will ask which you like the best and use that.  And then he/she will reduce the range of his/her touches – waist to ends of your toes, knees to ends of your toes, ankles to ends of your toes. And he/she will use the 10-5-2-1 system with each reduction.

After that, it will be time for the arms. Needless to say, your massage therapist will follow pretty much the same pattern for the arms – starting at the neck and coming down to ends of your fingertips. Then he/she will use the 10-5-2-1 system. And then he/she will use the same reducing systems that he/she used in Session 2: elbows to fingertips, wrists to fingertips. And he/she will use the 10-5-2-1 system with each reduction.

Now it is time to roll over yet again. Now the back side of your body will receive the same kind of treatment that it received before for the Scratching Session, but this time with the soothing, gentle, loving touches of soft fingertips instead of the scratching of fingernails.

Now the Third Session, the Fingertip Session, comes to a close. It is time to wind up our time together and plan our next get-together!

HOW GOOD IS OUR SESSION?

We have provided many thousands of massages for athletes, construction workers, and physically active people with extremely sore muscles, as well as to many professional and executive types who have no sore muscles. We have had massage therapists who provided Deep-Tissue massages, Light-Tissue massages, Swedish massages, Reiki massages, Tantra massages, Hot Stone massages, Aromatherapy massages, Thai massages, Chinese Massage, Japanese Geisha massages, Shiatsu massages, Reflexology massages, Trigger Point and Neuromuscular Therapy massages, Chair massages, Sports massages, and a few other types of massages.

We have used the accumulated knowledge of many different massage therapists using many different massage techniques, combined with the most recent research regarding the human body and its own rejuvenation techniques, to develop our comprehensive system. Only our affiliated massage spas use our system. It is copyrighted to us. We only license it out to carefully approved spas.

Our system uses a 3-part combination of light tissue massage, a scratching session and a gentle fingertip session. This is radically different than any other massage that is commercially available anywhere in the United States.

Our session is actually better than the greatest deep tissue massage or any other massage could ever hope to be!! Let’s look at why that is.

Deep tissue massage uses force to relax the muscles. The body’s natural inclination is to resist force, so more force must be used. But we use the body as an ally to relax the muscles and to heal itself.

The human body has a nearly endless potential to relax its muscles and to heal itself. Sometimes a human body can even beat cancer without medical treatment. Just give the human body enough time and it will heal many illnesses by itself. That is why sleep is so very important. The human body relaxes its muscles and does most of its repairs during sleep. Researchers now say that if you want to lose weight you should sleep more!

Sleep is a great natural healer. Sleep does everything for the human body. Sleep enough and every muscles is perfectly relaxed and great healing takes place.  Why is sleep so effective? Because during sleep the human body can relax fully and concentrate on healing itself! When we wake up, our muscles our 100% relaxed and we are fresh and ready to roll.

If a football player develops extremely sore muscles during the course of a long game, the best way to relax those muscles would likely be to sleep for eight hours. But sleeping for eight hours is not always practical, so football players need a faster solution. And that solution traditionally has been a deep tissue massage. A deep tissue massage forces the human body’s muscles to relax during the course of just one half hour to an hour instead of eight hours. Basically, you are cramming eight hours into one half hour to one hour. A deep tissue massage uses force, and the body resists force.

Our session is designed to allow the human body the time to relax so it can heal itself. And we do that over a period of 2 hours. It comes as a shock to many people to learn that the human body will more fully relax the muscles over a 2-hour period with our unique system than it will with a one half hour or one hour deep tissue massage. Our session does not cram down the sore muscles; rather, it allows the body to gently do naturally what it does best: relax the muscles slowly and evenly over the course of time.

In short, our three-part session more effectively relaxes sore muscles than a one half hour or one hour deep tissue massage. Our session uses the body as an ally over two hours instead of trying to cram down sore muscles in an unrealistic period of time. And even better than that, our session satisfies one of the human body’s most primary needs: the need to be touched by another human being!

Being scratched over 100% of the body for a long time is great. Being gently touched over 100% of the body for a long time is truly heavenly. We all need to be touched. From the earliest age on, we all need to be touched. It is a need as basic as our needs for air, water, food, shelter, and clothing.

We could write many pages about the need to be touched. We’ll simplify into a few basic thoughts. When human babies are given food, water, air, clean clothes, good shelter, but not touched they develop life-long mental illnesses that alienate them from human society. This was first noticed in the Romanian Orphanage cases. A simple “Google” search for “Romanian Orphans” pulls up many articles on the subject. Here is one:  https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/romanian-orphans-subjected-to-deprivation-must-now-deal-with-disfunction/2014/01/30/a9dbea6c-5d13-11e3-be07-006c776266ed_story.html.

Here are four of the paragraphs from this article which illustrate the importance of being touched:

“Cognitive ability and psychological well-being correlate directly with the amount of attention and nurturing children receive when they are young, according to recent research that includes studies of Romanian institutions.

“Everything from brain size to intellectual prowess to the ability to form emotional bonds to staying focused on a job is improved when children receive attention, are held and read to, experts say.

“Romania’s communist-era orphans got next to none of this. As a result, they suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychiatric illnesses and bipolar disorder, Aronson said.

“They also had the most severe reactive attachment disorder she has seen anywhere. ‘It is a pathologic and psychiatric diagnosis where an individual person, a child in this case, would be unable to have affectional connection to an adult, to a parent, incapable of exchange of love.’’

A lot of research has been done on the topic of “severe reactive attachment disorder”. But the research focuses on the need for touching by babies. The research neglects the need for touching by adults. But we all know how much we love to be touched gently and lovingly; what we do not fully understand is the literal need to be touched.

But the human body itself knows what it needs. When our body needs water, it tells us that we are thirsty and so we get something to drink. When our body needs sustenance, it tells us we are hungry and so we eat. Our body tells us when we are too cold, too hot, or too much of anything. In fact, scientists believe our body can even direct us to specific nutrients that it needs. The word is “moreishness”. This is a food craving – when our body needs sodium, it tells us to eat salty food. When our body needs chromium, it tells us to eat sugary foods. When our body needs iron or zinc, it tells us to eat meat. Here is a good article on the subject: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2923675/What-food-cravings-say-chocolate-sweets-meat-stodgy-carbs-provide-crucial-clues-health.html.

Here are some paragraphs from that article:

“What do your food cravings say about you? From chocolate to sweets, meat to stodgy carbs, they can provide crucial clues about your health.

"Cravings are the body's way of telling us it is missing out on something.

“While you might crave something sweet, your body is really lacking the mineral chromium which can be found in beef, kidney, carrots and broccoli.

“An undeniable urge for a bar of chocolate is your body's way of saying it needs more magnesium - also found in tuna, mackerel and wild salmon."

And when your body needs to be touched, it tells you to come visit us! Your body knows when it has a touch deficiency just as surely as it knows when it has a chromium or magnesium deficiency!! And our three-part session is just the solution to your touch deficiency.

How good is our session? It is great, great, great! It relaxes the muscles of your body more effectively than traditional deep tissue massage and it satisfies your body’s need for human touch!

USUALLY IN LIFE, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR:

We like this quote: "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of the low price is forgotten." Our philosophy is simple: pay enough to get what you really want because not getting what you really want isn't really worth anything! Many clients have told us their complaints about seeing a massage therapist for a low price, then feeling ripped out that they get what they wanted. They wanted a gentle massage, but they got a super firm massage that left them sore for 2 or 3 days afterward. They wanted a warm, friendly massage therapist to talk to during their massage, but they got an emotionally cold, mechanical humanoid instead. It is important to know what you really want, then pay the right price to get exactly what you really want. It never feels good to pay for something, even a very low price, if you don't get what you really want.

"My name is Sandra. I’m 41 years old. My photos show me as I  am. But my photos don’t show my personality. I have a bubbly, vivacious, outgoing personality. I prefer to see men and women over the age of 40. I really enjoy helping people to look better and feel better. I have been doing massage for many years. I’m Latina."
